Inspired Thoughts

I am inspired by the world around me and the people I meet so I wanted to write these thoughts down which I call my ‘inspired quotes’ and share them here.

“When you take care of what you have, God will give you more to take care of. A great business mantra without a doubt.” – 4/5/12

“When you believe that God will take care of business, He will, in the most expected ways.” – 3.6.12

“For a songwriter, every occasion whether positive or negative, is an inspiration” – 29.5.12

“People who avoid you are in most cases intimidated by the wonderful person and big heart that you are. They don’t know quite how to handle you but they’ll come around eventually because they would need you to dig them out of their misery.” – 29.5.12

“Sometimes the ego is so big it smothers God’s still small voice – our only guide in this life. Be quiet and hear His voice. To wake up happy is to acknowledge His enduring love, mercy and compassion through the night just passed.” – 29.5.12

“Tell God what you honestly think and feel would make you happy. He has a way of telling you whether you are on the right track or you’re up the creek with the rest of the crowd.” – 28.5.12

  1. Hello Mari, how r u & hows your new job going. May you suceed, God cares for us and wants us to suceeed. As an expression of his tender care, he has much to say about success & failure. In fact, when peaking about a person who pays attention to what God says, the Bible makes the bold statement “Everything he does will succeed” Psalm 1:3.
Take care & Keep on the watch.. Luv Mary

  5. Hi Mari,

Just stumbled onto your blog, good reading and loads of stories. I had a little bubu gal in the Childrens’ Charity fund raising ‘cat walk’ in POM and won something. It’s great to see the young and families helping out.

    God Bless, Bamakuta

    1. Hi Kisere,
Yes, the ‘princesses of the world’ were such stars in their own ways. You are right people helping people and esp so when your children give up playtime to do good work for charity. Bravo to your little bubu gal.
Thank you for the compliments and for visiting my blog.
      Bamahuta,
      Mari

  6. Awesome indeed to finally see the real original threads of the PNG culture which shown to the whole world. I just loved it. There are eight of us living in Queensland towns & formed a little charity group helping our people who seek medical treatment in Queensland & during their short term we are there to support them or billet them etc. We have been promoting our culture by giving talks & displaying all billums from all provinces of PNG, carvings; lap laps; other accessories to churches & different organizations. This new line of fashion would be great to add to our collection. I recon this is a good change than the typical designer wear we see daily worldwide. Great stuff PNG.

  7. Really fantastic post. Theoretically I could write something like this too, but taking the time and effort to make a good article is a lot of effort…but what can I say….I’m a procrastinater. Good read though.

    1. Thank you Ezekiel for your compliments. I usually do my posts over the weekend and after the office. It relaxes me to write about stuff that moves me. Depends on what you want to write about. All the best if you want to write. It always takes a start. I procrastinated and when I started blogging I got hooked and loving it.

Thank you for visiting this site.

      Cheers,

  8. Island Meri Salema,

Is that you out there? Good to see your smiling face and to hear of your foray into the Hendon Methodist Church to hear about St. Francis of Assisi!

I guess you are looking forward to winter out there soon. Take care,

    Laurie

    1. Hi Laurie,

Great to hear from you. Yes, that is me infront of the PNG HC at 14 Waterloo Place.

I attended the HMC only on that Sunday but am a regular member of the Queensbury Methodist Church. I am very interested in the life of St Francis of Assisi but I guess it is a steep learning curve not being a Catholic.

Weatherwise, it is getting cooler and for the first time today in a the past week I turned the heater on.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Take care too and God bless.

      Kind regards,
      Mari
